OK, so the "bombs bursting in air" are only celebratory fireworks and not car bombs, IEDs, mortars, idiots firing AK-47s into the air (or at each other), etc., etc. A time to reflect, to give thanks that one is living in a safe part of the world, and to spare a thought for the hundreds of millions around the globe that are not so lucky!
