Flights to Chicago and back, sitting in the row behind the exit row. On both flights the flight attendant came over and gave the "exit row spiel", which includes something along the lines of "... in case of emergency will you be able to follow crew instructions?" The passengers said "yes."
A very few minutes later during each takeoff I (only fleetingly) considered objecting to the person sitting in the exit row... since each time the person had his seat reclined, despite clear flight attendant instructions to passengers to make sure their seats were upright!
